Malgosia Turzanska was born and raised in Krakow, Poland. She has a BFA in Costume Design from DAMU in Prague, Czech Republic and an MFA in Costume Design from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

She began in film as personal assistant to the Polish director Agnieszka Holland on a shoot in Slovakia and swiftly realized that, while pretty bad at making coffee, she was rather good when dealing with costumes. Since then, Malgosia has worked non-stop in film, dance and theater. She designed costumes for MGMT’s groundbreaking Time To Pretend video, costumes for Benh Zeitlin’s award-winning short Glory At Sea and James Franco’s feature directorial debut, “The Broken Tower”, among others. Her work has been shown at numerous festivals and venues including Sundance, Tribeca Film Festival and BAM.
